Missing Children in Saipan

Two sweet-faced sisters left their grandparent's house in As Teo Wednesday morning around 6:00 am to walk to their school bus stop near their residence.  Faloma and Maleina Luhk never made it to Kagman Elementary School and have been missing ever since.

The grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Quitugua, filed a missing persons report when the children did not return from school. A press release from the Governor's Office stated that a witness saw them around 6:10 am sitting across from the bus stop.

The press release states that "anyone with information leading to the whereabouts of these two young girls are encouraged to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 234-7272 should you want to remain anonymous. Or use the website at www.nmicrimestoppers.com."

The DPS, FBI and other law enforcement agencies are searching for the sisters. Hopefully, the residents of Saipan have also organized mass island-wide searches to find the girls. We join the CNMI community in praying for their safe return.

This doesn't look good, especially with the Feds. involved and nothing has turned up.
All of the volunteers have also not turned up anything.
I am thinking that Hopefully nothing has physically happened to these girls and that the father (or relative) showed up and took them and is hiding them.(or took them on a small boat to Tinian and hiding them there)
But, according to reports, the father has not been in the families life for many years and maybe the girls would not even recognize him if he did show up unexpectedly.
If they were abducted, It would seem that these girls knew the person(s)as I assume their school books etc were not found at the bus stop.

I hope that the girls turn up safe, in any event this should be a wake up call to the AG office and also the Judges (and Parole board) to be doing some meaningful prosecution and sentencing. Lets see.

Wouldn't it be ironic if one of the many criminals the Gov. released from jail was involved in this.
The clock is running, maybe a miracle will happen.

There should be focus also turned to the possibility that the girls within that given time frame may have wondered off exploring. Everyone has been looking at an abductor, but how about the area itself? Not sure about the geography of the area but there may be caves or hidden WWII bunkers these children may have been aware of or playing in. They grew up in the area and may have been aware of locations that adults are not aware of, could one of them have gotten injured while exploring? So many possibilities but sometimes the places we need to look are right in front of us. We need an expert with the geography of the area brought in, how about the water drainage areas? The answers aren't obvious as they seem, I pray the rescuers are considering these possibilities...The caves? Well systems in the area?
God bless those children and their safe return.
