So Cute!
are these owl? that asleep during the day
Yes, they are screech owls. They hunt at night and sleep or rest during the day. They picked the pergola on our back patio to rest. I am sure they could not sleep with us opening and closing the door and taking dozens of photos. They call each other at night and also in the day so I am not sure they are sleeping all day as people believe. They live in a hole high up in an oak tree in our back yard. I love these birds! We also have a red-shouldered hawk that comes to our yard. That bird is a little scary. I watched it grab a squirrel off of the bird feeder with its talons and take it screaming into the sky. Rather shocking!
Wendy, too bad you could not have gotten a picture of that Hawk and put Fitial's face on it, and replace the squirrel with the CNMI people or CW.
Now that Pik would be worth much.
I actually did get a photo of the hawk. I was sitting at my dining room table with my son telling him the squirrel-hawk story and he asked me, "Mom, is that the hawk sitting on the fence?" I got my camera and took a photo of him.
Now if you cam put Fital's Head on it and post it, that would be cool.
Maybe MV would display it.
